About Fadley's Landscaping & Snow Removal
We are a Northwest Ohio company based on OH-249 in Hicksville. Same shop, same crews, same phone number in January as in July.
“Fadley's Landscaping & Snow Removal LLC puts a strong focus on being there for our clients, getting to know them is a priority, and personalized service is a must.”
That is how the company describes itself, and it is worth explaining what it means in practice, because plenty of contractors say something similar.
It means you talk to a person who knows your property. It means the crew that stakes your driveway in November is the crew that mowed it in July, so nobody rediscovers where the sprinkler heads are at 5 a.m. in a snowstorm. It means when the weather moves your service day, you hear about it rather than wondering.
We run 14 services across 2,997 communities in all 87 Ohio counties, plus Northeast Indiana and Southeast Michigan. Landscaping and snow removal are both in our name because we do both properly, all year, rather than treating winter as something to get through.
What we actually do
Landscape design and installation, paver patios and hardscape, retaining walls, drainage and grading, lawn care and fertilization, sod and seeding, mulch and bed maintenance, tree and shrub trimming, landscape lighting, fire pits and outdoor living, seasonal cleanups, commercial grounds maintenance, and snow and ice management.
Residential and commercial. Village lots, rural acreage, historic homes, new builds, offices, churches, apartment communities and industrial sites.
The crew
Fadley's is owner-operated and small on purpose. Carson runs estimates and works on jobs — several of the reviews on our reviews page name him directly, which is what happens when the person quoting the work is also the person doing it. Hunter and the rest of the crew are the same faces you see week to week rather than whoever a dispatcher sent that morning.
That consistency is the whole operating model. The crew that stakes your drive in November is the crew that mowed it in July, so nobody is learning your property in the dark during a snowstorm.
Licensing, insurance and credentials
We carry insurance covering our crews and equipment on every job, and we provide certificates of insurance directly from our agency on request — which most commercial agreements and property managers require. Ask and it gets sent.
We would rather point to verifiable things than a wall of logos. Our 46 Google reviews are public and readable, our shop address is a real place you can drive to, and every proposal states its own specification — base depth, drainage detail, plant schedule — so you can hold us to it in writing rather than taking a credential on trust.
Why the soil talk matters
Northwest Ohio is not one landscape. Our territory covers three distinct landforms: the dense clay of the drained Great Black Swamp across Defiance, Paulding, Henry and Putnam counties; the glacial till plain through Williams County; and the sandy Oak Openings belt near Swanton, Whitehouse and western Toledo.
A plant list that thrives in one will struggle in another. A drainage design that works on one is wrong on another. Knowing which ground you are standing on is not a technicality — it is the whole job.
You can read how each of those affects your specific town on our service areas pages.

Six things we do the same way on every job
These are not upgrades. They are what should be included, and they are the reason our work is still flat and draining properly years later.
Written scope on every job
Itemized work, material specifications, plant schedule with species and sizes, exclusions, a start window and a working-day estimate. If it is not written down, it is not a scope.
Base specification stated, not implied
Six to eight inches of compacted crushed limestone over woven geotextile on hardscape, compacted in lifts. Drain tile, clean angular stone and geotextile behind every retaining wall.
Drainage assessed before anything else
We shoot elevations with a laser level rather than judging slope by eye — which on Northwest Ohio ground is how systems get built running the wrong direction.
Soil handled honestly
Broad bed amendment instead of individual planting holes, and beds built up on heavy clay. A hole backfilled with good soil in clay is a bathtub, and the plant pays for it in year three.
We tell you when the cheap fix is the right fix
Plenty of "we need a French drain" calls are two downspouts and eighty dollars of pipe. We would rather do that job honestly than sell a system nobody needs.
Debris leaves with us
Hauled off, not piled at the back of the lot where it becomes winter cover for voles and a weed nursery. Hard surfaces blown clean before we leave, every visit.
