Landscaper in Delta, OH

Delta sits along US-20A in eastern Fulton County, close enough to Toledo that a lot of residents commute west out of the metro to live here. It is a village with a solid residential core and rural parcels on all sides.

Landscaper services in Delta, OH: the ground is dense lake-plain clay that drains very slowly, so drainage and grade come before anything decorative. We work Delta out of our shop at 7980 OH-249 in Hicksville, and the on-site estimate is free.

The work here splits fairly evenly between maintenance and improvement.

Getting here: Northeast on US-20A, toward the Lucas County line.

Front-yard impact on a village lot

On a Delta village lot the front yard does all the work, and improving it is not complicated. Deepen the beds so plants have room at mature size instead of being crammed against the foundation. Cut a real spade edge. Get mulch to two or three inches. Add a walkway that is at least four feet wide so two people can walk side by side to the door — anything narrower reads as an afterthought. Put a light on the entry and one uplight on a specimen tree. That package changes a property completely and it is not an expensive project.

Lake-plain clay and lawn establishment

Eastern Fulton County is still lake-plain ground — flat and heavy. New lawns fail here when seed or sod goes down on unprepared clay. The prep is what determines success: decompact, incorporate organic matter, establish final grade that falls away from the house, then seed or sod. Mid-August through late September is the strongest seeding window in this region, when soil is still warm, nights cool off, rain is reliable, and crabgrass has stopped competing.

Commuter schedules and reliable service

Households that commute to Toledo are not home to let a crew in or to notice whether the walks got blown off. Reliability is the whole product. Fixed service day, same crew, communication when weather pushes the route, and hard surfaces blown clean before we leave — every visit, whether anyone is home or not.

What Delta properties call us for

These are the services this ground actually needs, ordered by what the soil and terrain in Fulton County demand rather than by what is easiest to sell.

Areas we cover in Delta

We work throughout Delta and the surrounding Fulton County townships, including properties near downtown Delta, the US-20A corridor and eastern Fulton County. Zip codes served: 43515.

Why Delta property owners choose us

  • This is our home ground

Delta sits inside the counties we work every week from Hicksville. That shows up most in winter, when distance decides whose driveway gets cleared first.

  • We fix the water before anything else

Every dollar spent on plants or hardscape sitting on ground that stays wet gets spent twice. On Fulton County soil we diagnose drainage first — and often the honest answer is two downspouts rather than a system.

  • 46 Google reviews, licensed and insured

Verbatim reviews from neighbours across the region, full coverage on every crew and machine, and financing available so a full plan can be built in one season.

  • One contractor for all four seasons

Landscaping April through November and snow and ice through the winter, from the same crews. The people who stake a drive in November are the people who mowed it in July.

Local Questions

Landscaping in Delta: FAQs

Answers written for Fulton County ground, not generic advice from another climate.

The same things drive it here as anywhere in Ohio: access for a machine, how deep the hardscape base has to go, whether drainage has to be solved first, plant size at installation, and how much has to be removed before the new work starts. On Fulton County ground the base depth and the drainage answer are usually what separate two quotes. We give an itemised written number after seeing the property, and the visit is free.
